Roger Newcomb, co-editor of the terrific We Love Soaps website, dropped me a line recently to let me know that he served as Editorial Director on the first ever collection of full daytime soap operas released in the U.S.A four-disc 20-episode AS THE WORLD TURNS DVD collection went on sale earlier this month. One of the episodes chosen was Luke Snyder’s coming out episode from May 9, 2006. Also in the collection is the Christmas 2009 episode which features Luke (played by multi-Emmy nominee Van Hansis) and his boyfriend Noah (played by Jake Silbermann) who were having problems because Noah was blinded in a film set accident and blamed and resented Luke.
Maybe the producers of Days of Our Lives can take a look at it and get some pointers on how to MOVE THEIR STORY ALONG.
